Concept:

Nathalie Brilliant and Christine Lee somatically interrogate the ATA Window Gallery exploring and holding dynamic body positions and placements in accordance to the site and each other creating living compositons.

The piece looks to understand how spaces shape our bodies and inform our gestures. Conformed movement will be deconstructed through conscious somatic play and exploration of body in relation to architecture. Utlizing piezo pickups, the sound of the walls and movement against the walls will be amplified.

This piece thinks about the body in a sculputral manner, focusing on the body as a form of art. It looks to consider how the spaces we situate ourselves in and the people who surround us shape our beings and inform the way we bend, move and think.

Performance Times:
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

object-body was part of a month long performance art series at the ATA Window Gallery curated by Ariel Zaccheo and Tessa Siddle.
